Esther has vast experience in all types of both non-contentious and contentious Intellectual Property works such as protection, enforcement and exploitation of Intellectual Property Rights in Malaysia. She is also experienced in aspects of Information Technology, Communication and Multimedia, Advertising and laws related to cyberspace and Media. Esther frequently represented international conglomerates, local companies, and individuals in High Court and Court of Appeal for Intellectual Property and IT related matters. She advises on foreign intellectual property laws such as Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, Korea, United Kingdom and many others.

Besides Intellectual Property laws, Esther also has in knowledge in dealing contentious civil litigation matters including but not limited to employment law, contractual disputes, land disputes and others.  She seldom acted as counsels in the sub-court as well as High Court for SME companies in Malaysia.

As a brief background, Esther completed her Bachelor of Laws (Hons) at Aberystwyth University in 2007 and obtained her Master of Laws (Corporate and Commercial) at Queen Mary, University of London in 2010. She then pursued to complete her Bar Professional Training Course and was called to the English Bar in 2010.  She commenced her pupilage in one of the top legal firms in Malaysia and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2012. She continued to practice as a Legal Associate in the Intellectual Property department and subsequently joined Messrs. Y.Y. Ho & Lee in 2015 where she practiced in both Intellectual Property and general civil litigation.
